Yoana Baraschi

I thought you guys might enjoy this visual pick-me-up from designer Yoana Baraschi. I love that the collection is fun, colorful, and an instant wardrobe refresher. Check out the rest here.

Emily Katz- Fall 2008

You may remember when I fell for the Emily Katz "perfect trench" before...well she's upped and done it again with the "Wow Rain Jacket". Love the detail and very pretty shape, the non-raincoat color is great too. The collection is made from organic/sustainable fabrics as well. Seriously...is it me or does everyone want that rain coat??

Elroy Apparel

Elroy Apparel by BC based Leanne McElroy is a stunning addition to the world of eco friendly fashion. Leanne noticed that as organic began to spread into apparel there was a wealth of choices in yoga/casual pieces with less options for fashion forward items. As a strict vegan herself, Rachel launched her collection in Fall 2007 designing sophisticated streetwear for the contemporary health conscious woman. I am in love with nearly every single piece so you should check out this collection for yourself here.

Etsy Find- Tortilla Girl

(don't you love her logo?)
With the resurgence of the tote bag, I've been loving the prints and variety. My only problem is...I'm a new york girl...a flat bag the size of a book just won't do for me. I was glad to find Tortilla Girl on etsy with her "Big City Linen Bag". Love the texture, print, and the hold everything shape. Really well priced at $68 and made to order.

Miss Bruno Fall 2008

The last time I posted about Miss Bruno, Marjory (one half of the design team) hinted there would be an expanded collection soon. Well knock my socks off!!!...loving the knickers, the fantastic silhouettes, and the riot of prints. Miss Bruno has managed to take the incredibly unique quality of their original line of scarves (which you guys loved) and transformed it into a tight, cohesive collection. Sold!

Thanks Angela!

Matt & Nat Fall 2008

( 1 for the boys)
Sure, I liked Matt & Nat before...but they've really hit it out the park with their Fall 2008 collection. If you think the hottest bags only come in leather you should take a tour of Matt & Nat; the two bags above are Japapese rice paper, and the new "feutre" collection is made from 100% recycled materials (men's bag above). Hot vegan goodness!

Sariah Carson

If you've been jonesing for a fix from former indie powerhouse Carson Potter, look no more. Sariah Carson launches her new collection Sariah NYC for Fall 2008 with incredible hand-painted (loooove!!) prints and signature fit and drape. The entire collection in produced locally in NYC and will debut exclusively at Barneys.

BiJules NYC

I came across Jules Kim at the very first Project tradeshow in New York, she was sitting at a tiny table in the back with her then graffiti inspired pieces, already sketching new ideas. Her edgy style stuck in my head and I'm glad to see she's still at it; the collection still has a serious edge with knuckle and pinkie rings mingling with nostalgic pieces. Don't miss the ode to Aunt Winnies teeth on a chain.

Sukari

I was watching TV this weekend (one of the explore NYC shows on local tv) and they stopped by a gorgeous handbag store Sukari (Swahili for sweet), the owner is also the designer of the namesake handbags and they are sweet for sure. Each bag features Italian leather with gold or silver details, and is a seamless gathering of inspiration frm Africa, India, South America, and Europe.
